Project Description
Several buildings in a new section of the Eppley Airfield airport are clad with approx. 11,000 sq. ft. of Bendheim’s decorative laminated glass rainscreens. In one key area, Bendheim’s Wall-F rainscreen system attaches directly to the glass curtain wall, which was engineered for the additional load. Attaching our second-skin facade on top of the curtain wall offers complete water protection. In another key area, the glass system runs from the exterior to the interior of the building, seamlessly transitioning from rainscreen cladding to a back-lit feature wall. The project features a mix of clear and translucent off-white (with a bluish-green tint) laminated safety glass that maintains daylight advantages and, where necessary, visibility.
