This stunning commercial retrofit demonstrates how a glass rainscreen can completely transform a building on budget and without disrupting occupants.
The Challenge: The architects were tasked with raising the profile of this nondescript, circa 1980s building. They were to completely modernize it and increase its rent revenue potential, with no or minimal disruption to the occupants, on time, and on budget.
The Solution: After assessing the project and weighing the options, MODULUS decided to preserve as much of the existing structure as possible. The architects enveloped the exterior with Bendheim Wall Systems’ Wall-F decorative glass rainscreen. The system features our Längle Wall-F compression glass fittings and approximately 5,000 square feet of laminated safety glass in three different hues of off-white. The rainscreen creates a dynamic, modern look, changing its appearance, as daylight travels across the facade.
Glass Rainscreen Case Study: 3001 Orchard Parkway
A video case study on a stunning commercial retrofit utilizing one of Bendheim's glass rainscreen systems.
It demonstrates how a glass rainscreen can completely transform the look of a building in record time and with record ROI, estimated at over 500% for this project. Bendheim's rainscreen systems present a fast, cost-effective, and environmentally mindful option for retrofit projects. They install over the existing facade, eliminating the need for demolition or re-glazing of existing exterior skins.
