Exterior, double-glazed 504 Rough Cast channel glass wall set in the SF-60 frame system. The channel glass is coated in Low-E to improve it’s thermal performance. In the daytime, the glass diffuses light and at night, the glass wall beams with interior light acting as a beacon.
From the Architect:"In designing the new addition, SG&A was seeking a dramatic look that would showcase this high profile collegiate performance center venue both during the day and at night. SG&A created a sweeping curved expression that rises to meet a new Jewel-box entertainment space and art gallery. Bendheim Wall Systems channel glass was truly the only product capable of both containing the interior spaces, and spanning up to twenty feet above the roofline to create a visible and back-lit theatrical statement worthy of the big names hosted at the Edgerton... In addition to creating this dramatic gesture, the Bendheim wall hides the mechanical systems which serve the lobby and art gallery. This addition also creates a new front door to the University campus as a whole and welcomes students to the center of the fastest growing Catholic university in the country". — Jacob Higginbottom, Designer Architect at Spagnolo Gisness & Associates, Inc.
