Project Description
504 Rough Cast channel glass is used to create openings on three floors of the front face of this performing arts center. Utilizing the SF-60 frame system, the glass replaced concrete panels, creating a transparent connection between the interior and the street.
Testimonials
From the Architect:
“At a performance venue, the show should begin on the sidewalk.” The translucent channel glass exterior walls “will bring soft light into the building, and, in the evening hours, will allow the building to glow from within, yielding an appropriate theatricality...” “The neighborhood around the Kaufman Center has grown exponentially and has been completely revitalized. The century brings a new optimism, so it's time to put on a bright new face.” — Robert A.M. Stern, Robert A.M. Stern Architects, LLP
