Project Description
The Encina Wastewater Authority looks out onto the Pacific Ocean with a large facade of textured channel glass. The facade allows light inside without the glare from direct sunlight. The double-glazed channel glass, set in a custom horizontal frame system, creates both exterior and interior walls. On the exterior, the horizontal curtain wall features approx. 1,500 square feet of Prismasolar and Solar textured channel glass, set in Bendheim’s unitized H60 framing system. The outside-facing channels feature the mesh-like Solar surface texture, while the inside-facing channels feature the deeply-ridged linear Prismasolar texture.
