Magnolia Mound Visitors Center

Project Description

Magnolia Mound, a former French Creole plantation established in the 1790s, now serves as an educational site exploring Creole history.

The visitor center is designed to blend into the landscape, aligning with the mound’s elevation to create a subtle transition between old and new. Bendheim’s channel glass was selected to subtly obscure occupants in and around the building like an impressionist painting, blurring the line between architecture and nature.
