Rockefeller Center | Top of the Rock Observation Deck

Project Description

At the Top of the Rock Observation Deck at Rockefeller Center, expansive walls of Bendheim’s Lamberts® mouth-blown glass surround the elevator core. Built to resemble a lighthouse tower, natural daylight adds a dynamic quality as it shimmers across the nearly 600 panels of glass. Fiber optic lights were installed behind the glass to produce a crystalline lighting appearance.

Artist: Michael Hammers

Fabricator: Derix Glasstudios
