Project Description
Heat-strengthened, laminated glass by Bendheim illuminates the lobby of the renovated InterContinental Barclay hotel in Manhattan, NYC. The combination of two subtle, organic glass textures – Clear Crystal and River Ice – evokes the appearance of hand-made glass, adding a touch of antique splendor to the expansive ceiling laylight. The panels are back-lit by LEDs. The translucent white color and subtle texture of the glass help diffuse the light, creating a shadow-free, uniform appearance.
Our laminated architectural glass offers the highest level of design flexibility, together with enhanced safety and acoustic properties. It is produced by combining two or more layers of glass with one or more decorative interlayers. This process allows the creation of virtually unlimited aesthetic options. We produce our safety laminated glass through several types of in-house lamination processes, creating a breadth of standard and custom products under our roof.
