Blue Bottle Coffee

Project Description

A new coffee shop in the heart of Chicago hosts a variety of Bendheim glass offerings. Partition walls throughout the cafe are made of Bendheim’s channel glass with the 504 Rough Cast texture and sandblast-etched inner surfaces. The textured and etched surfaces of the channels obscures views to visually separate spaces while allowing maximum daylight to disperse through the interior. The head and sill framing extrusions are recessed into the ceiling and floor to give a full floor-to-ceiling glass appearance.

Additionally, the fronts of the service counters are clad in etched back-painted glass in a custom green color.
