7 West 57th

Project Description

The renovation of this luxury residential building in Manhattan includes a unique exterior channel glass screen. 11,000 square feet of channel glass is attached to the building used modified compression glass fittings, traditionally used in flat glass rainscreens and ventilated facade systems, making it the first project to use compression fittings to hold channel glass. The compression fittings were used instead of traditional channel glass framing in order to achieve a thinner stack line design and to create a tighter space between the glass and the wall for better lighting.
