277 Park Avenue

Project Description

The revitalized lobby at 277 Park Avenue brings a fresh atmosphere to one of Midtownโ€™s most established addresses. Expanded entrances, a 30-foot ceiling, and floor-to-ceiling windows create an open, light-filled experience that connects seamlessly to Park Avenue. Layered materials, refined lighting, and warm finishes soften the space while enhancing its modern character, designed to feel as welcoming as it is functional.

Select architectural elements, including Bendheimโ€™s wood veneer laminated glass, contribute to this balance, bringing natural texture and depth to a contemporary environment. The glass is utilized in a variety of applications through the space. It initially welcomes those entering the building as it clads the front and sides of the reception desk, as well as the expansive upper wall above the desk. The glass also clads the walls of the elevator lobby, complementing the surrounding stone walls. The soft etched surface of the glass reduces reflections and harsh glares, creating a calm, serene atmosphere for those passing through.
