Essex County College

Project Description

The new west campus building at the Essex County College features a sleek decorative glass rainscreen by Bendheim. Over 8,000 square feet of clear glass in a horizontally overlapping configuration are held in the rainscreen system with Bendheim’s Wall-H compression clips. The system was designed for the clips to extend directly from the wall, eliminating the need for costly steel supports and allowing for a cleaner appearance. Bendheim’s glass rainscreen system, in conjunction with color-changing LEDs, achieve the architect’s vision to give the building a “hi-tech look” for the school’s tech-driven students.
