Project Description
Take Two Interactive’s 60,000 square foot office space features two textured glass varieties by Bendheim – Waterfall and Houdini™ – throughout its collaborative work spaces. The two micro-fluted low-iron glass designs are light-diffusing and glare-reducing. They maximize daylight, while completely blocking views, to balance the need for privacy and a sense of openness and occupant wellbeing. The linear glass designs were also chosen to emphasize the verticality of the space.
Bendheim’s Waterfall glass is 3/8” (10 mm) thick, featuring an organic linear texture with a hint of rhythmic waviness that evokes the appearance of cascading water. Houdini™ glass, installed in movable conference room partitions, gathers light from the opposing glazed façade and filters it into the interior. Houdini is an award-winning privacy glass. Its unique surface texture completely obscures any vertical features behind the glass, as well as people and objects.
The popularity of workplace privacy is creating demand for textured glass walls and partitions that blend style and functionality. Bendheim’s textured glass collection is one of the most diverse in the architectural glass industry. Available in regular and low-iron (ultra-clear) glass, it creates new opportunities for dividing spaces, while maintaining daylight advantages. Customization options include lamination with a color or graphic interlayer; lamination with metal wires, textiles, and wood veneers; as well as lamination to another texture or an etched glass for added privacy.
