Bendheim’s new production line represents the latest in film lamination technology for the manufacture of decorative laminated safety glasses. It can incorporate a virtually unlimited range of specialty interlayers, including custom colors, fabrics, metals, wood veneers, and photographic images.

“Acquisition of the new lamination line is just one of Bendheim’s many efforts to offer our customers the finest quality, most advanced products,” said Donald Jayson, Sr. Vice President at Bendheim. “We continually reinvest in our business to ensure Bendheim is at the forefront of decorative glass innovation.”
The new machinery applies heat and pressure in a vacuum chamber to permanently encapsulate film interlayers between two or more lites of glass. The resulting laminated glasses offer unique aesthetics, enhanced sound control properties and safety, in sizes up to 80” by 130” and thicknesses up to 1.75”.
The new lamination line further expands Bendheim’s extensive, 100% vertically integrated New Jersey production facilities. In addition to manufacturing safety laminated decorative glasses, Bendheim’s capabilities include tempering, water-jet-cutting, edge polishing, back-painting (color coating), and custom CNC glass fabrication.
