Chic Decorative Glass Options for Millennial-Inspired Design

National Museum of African American History and Culture | Bendheim Architectural Glass

National Museum of African American History and Culture, Washington, DC by David Adjaye Associates

Inspired by the metallic hues featured in several of our recent high-profile projects, we are launching our new Metalix™ Glass. The decorative laminated glass collection features an eclectic mix of shimmering interlayers. Their dynamic, woven appearance adds a rhythmic quality to building interiors. The millennial-inspired, futuristic palette injects a bold, animated aesthetic into interiors to create striking experiences. Used as an accent, these gold and silver metallic hues are perfect for modern or retro-chic environments.

“Metallics are becoming increasingly popular in architectural glass,” said Steven Jayson, Vice President of Bendheim. “To synthesize this Collection, we evaluated many ideas, gathered through our collaboration with leading architects and designers. We distilled the finest creative solutions to create a signature aesthetic. Each of the designs play with light in a different way.”

The mix of dazzling to subdued designs in the Metalix™ Collection create truly distinctive translucent to opaque walls of glass for a range of applications. “Golden Sunset” and “Hollywood’s” sparkly appearance are well suited for hospitality spaces. “Mystique” and “Goldsmith” feature a softer metallic aesthetic, ideal for avant-garde, millennial-driven workspaces. The Collection’s durable glass surfaces are ideal for high-traffic applications, including lobbies, elevator interiors, and partition walls.
