mindful MATERIALS

mindful MATERIALS (mM) provides a platform and library for accessing information about sustainability practices. mindful MATERIALS (mM) developed the Common Materials Framework (CFM), which is the building industry’s first common language for sustainable building products and is aligned with the U.S. Green Building Council.

Bendheim has been a member of mindful MATERIALS since May 2025.

HPD Collaborative

HPD Collaborative is dedicated to promoting transparency and sustainability in the building sector. It develops and maintains the HPD Open Standard, which provides a standardized format for reporting building product contents and associated health information.

Bendheim has been a member of HPD Collaborative since 2023.

American Institute of Architects

The American Institute of Architects (AIA) supports the architecture profession and promotes excellence in design, advocacy, and professional development.

Bendheim has been a member of the American Institute of Architects since 2008.

ASTM International

Bendheim’s third-party-verified Environmental Product Declarations are published by ASTM International. As the program operator, ASTM ensures the LCA & EPDs are developed in compliance with ISO standards 14025 & 21930.

International Living Future Institute

JUST is a program for people who want to make changes within their organizations, and JUST label is a voluntary disclosure tool. It focuses on employee experience, health, well-being, and meaningful community connections.

Bendheim’s JUST Label is published by the International Living Future Institute, and was first published in 2025.

3E Exchange

The 3E Exchange helps manufacturers to advance their supply chain and sustainability goals. Supply chain management and complying with chemical regulations will always be Bendheim’s priority, and 3E Exchange will help us confidently control material data, protect intellectual property, and streamline workflows that run up and down the supply chain.

Bendheim has been a member of 3E Exchange since 2023.

Passaic County Habitat for Humanity

Bendheim has made significant contributions to the Passaic County Habitat for Humanity through the Neighborhood Revitalization Tax Credit Program. The investments are focused on constructing new energy-efficient homes, rehabilitating existing properties, addressing food insecurities, and critical home repairs for existing homeowners.
